Philip Yisa is a dynamic legal practitioner with over 10 years of distinguished experience. His vast experience in commercial and corporate law has earned him the confidence of clients who range from individuals, corporations, government agencies and ministries within and outside Nigeria.

Philip has vast experience in other sectors of law which include administrative, legal reforms and sustainable development. He has provided analysis and counsel on legal, policy, and Environmental issues including the protection of intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial offerings, financial structuring, securities offerings, compliance issues for a pre- IPO company, non disclosure agreements, outsourcing agreements and business strategic planning.

As an active legal practitioner and mediator, Philip has successfully negotiated and closed deals with international partners looking to do business in Nigeria. Companies including KapAfrica Group, Vopnet Nigeria Limited, Raylip Investment Limited have relied on his legal and business nous in helping their business achieve set goals. He has also carried out various works with the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), just to mention a few in the areas of due diligence checks. He has mentored and trained other members of staff and clients such as business development managers and in-house legal practitioners on key legal considerations, such as legal documentation, basic legal concepts, and risk allocation and Internet based legal research.

As a graduate of the University of Aberdeen where he holds a Masters of Laws degree in International Commercial Law, he started his legal career in Summit Chambers Minna. He moved to Consigliore Solicitors Abuja, where he honed his skills in the practice of law. He rose to the rank of a Partner in this full-fledged firm where he headed the commercial division and carried out hundreds of commercial transactions worth millions of dollars. Philip served in an advisory role as a Coordinator to the Attorney General of Niger State from 2016 – 2019.

He is presently the Managing Partner of Bravura and Bolt Solicitors, a firm of legal consultants where he continues to excel by impacting the profitability of organizations through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions, and new business development results are achieved. He worked with the Legal Aid Council in the area of prison decongestion by providing free legal service to inmates who cannot afford a legal counsel and has made several contributions to the justice sector reforms to that respect.

Philip bagged a Bachelors Degree from the University of Jos, Plateau State and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus where he graduated and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Philip is a Graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Abuja Branch, Member Oil and Gas Forum, African Regional Forum of the International Bar Association (IBA). He has attended several conferences and seminars within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
